I am a tech scuba diver/instructor in CA and tested the BasePro Crew top and pants under my drysuit. I stayed VERY warm and comfortable! I was worried about it being too positively buoyant but I only added 1 extra pound of weight for the top and bottom. I plan on trying it under my 7mm wetsuit next week! My next acquisition will be the Fortress socks to wear under my drysuit. If you are a drysuit diver, this is worth trying out!

This works great as a base layer under a motorcycle jacket with armor and liner. Since there is no zipper the neck feels good under the jacket/liner collar. Also since the BasePro Crew doesn’t have padding in the arms, my arms fit easily into a an armored jacket with a liner. The material is really comfortable, and the insulation keeps my core really nice and warm without an electric vest. This has a very wide comfort range so I don’t have to stop and add/remove layers like I did with previous combinations. I’ve started in the morning at 35 degrees, and it still feels great when it warms to 70 in the afternoon. This is so comfortable I just wear it around the house on winter evenings as well. Keep in mind this is intended as a base layer–so it is a snug fit.

36° and raining, I was neither hot or cold while cycling, seems perfect to me. I don’t like that the arms are not insulated very well. My arms were cold.
I did have a rain shell on which blocked the wind and wet. I ordered arm warmers from a bicycle store to wear under this shirt, hoping it will keep me warmer. I don’t know how it would be at 15°, I think the body would be fine though, just not the arms..

I worked outside all day with my base pro crew next to my skin and a work shirt over that . Temp was 24 degree and stiff wind chill @ 16 ish. Also had base pro pants next to my skin and jeans , was comfortable all day . The one hour truck ride to and from the job site was pleasant , not to hot or cool

Performs as advertised. Warm, stretchy, comfortable. I’d order one size larger than you would normally wear, although that could be me just gaining weight??

My name is Brian T. I have purchased 2 basepro tops and a bottom. I work outside at night, 6-7days a week. I have no shelter to go into. The job site is in northern Indiana. Since I have received the basepro set. My comfort level has increased substantial. I stay warm! I wear jeans and a hoodie as my outer layer. The product just works period. I served in the USMC, in a counter terrorism team. I’ve spent much of my life outdoors. My only regret is not finding Fortress clothing sooner. If you are on the fence about purchasing a set. Buy now, you will have no regrets. The customer service is world class. In closing, I believe the military should issue Fortress. The troops deserve the best we can give them. Thank you GOD BLESS
