PERFECT PAIR

We chose one black and one grey, which goes with pretty much anything. Keeping my head warm, it pretty much does exactly what I expected it to do, and can be paired with the Fortress Face Mask for even more coverage. I can tell you this, my noggin' will definitely be warm in a Fortress beanie!

The extreme mid layer jacket checks off every box on my list of desirable characteristics for a winter jacket. I already own plenty of duck down outer shell parkas, but I sought a jacket that will remain warm and keep its shape even after getting damp from sweat or rain. Overall, this extreme jacket was an excellent product purchase that I am very happy with because it fits under all of my outer shell jackets. I highly recommend this product.

I hate wearing jackets… Whether too restrictive or too warm or not warm enough, never a real happy, medium. That is until I found this gem. This light weight, warm, comfortable jacket is perfect for the unpredictable. SoCal weather. Have already had a ton of use and love the pockets that are insulated. That was a genius idea! It’s perfect for keeping a chill off and keeping you warm through the insulation and body heat. Perfect for the those evenings in California when it’s warm during the day and cooling off at night. Definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a good lightweight, all-around jacket and it’s stylish.

I recently purchased this vest for my Dad, 75 who is always feeling colder than everyone in the room. He loved the lightweight feel and the warmth throughout the day! He lives in this vest and has golfed, hiked, and even paired it under a blazer to wear at a few dressy engagements to keep him comfortable. He just loves it and recommends it to his active, senior community.

My husband loves his jacket so much, his entire Christmas wishlist is the rest of the Fortress gear. Superior quality, affordable, and awesome delivery time/customer service! I will continue to rave about this brand to anyone that will listen! My husband is a city truck driver in the Midwest and staying warm at deliveries is a priority. There are a lot of good things I can say about the 2.0 Version of the shadow jacket. First off The front pocket is a lot deeper and there is even a pocket inside of the the and a porch on the left hand of the jacket. Overall I think this is a very great improvement to the original shadow jacket and please try not to mess with the string for the hood of the jacket too much I did and well let's just say I literally regret doing that so please be careful.

When the finest, warmest close for cold weather, it’s great. It’s like a portable heater with you.

I bought my Fortress base layer last March after a shivering night camping. I absolutely LOVE it and can't wait to snowmobile in it with my mono suit. I am a 69 plus gal who loves wild camping and winter is so perfect for my hammock adventures now that I have Fortress Base layer. Saving up my Pennie's for other products they have as well. It's a company I believe in and they will gladly answer any questions you might have. Thanks Fortress for extending this gals camping to year round. Last night was 33 out and with the right hammock with an under quilt I was TOASTY!

Unfortunately , it is 90 degrees in my home town so impossible to say how warm it will be once winter gets here

It's super light. Comfy, would recommend. It is pricy than most vests I would pay but I can tell the quality will last. Great customer service. Pretty easy to return if sizing is off.

I grew up in a tropical country, shorts and tank top weather all year round. Moving to Melbourne was a shock to the system. Winter was a rude shock. No matter what I wore, layers upon layers of heat tech, sweaters just never cut it. Chanced upon fortress from some random Shark tank video on YouTube and gave it a chance. Bought the 1/4 Base and the pants. Nothing else has kept me warmer, I dread the days I have to take them off to wash. Has kept me toasty. Love my fortresses

These Fortress base layers are amazingly soft and comfortable! They are far superior in comfort in our opinion to the military ecwcs layering system. Plus with Fortress you have less layers vs ecwcs. Also with Fortress you can get soaked wet and still get warm. However with ecwcs primaloft soaked wet...uh oh your in trouble. (same with goose down) We have not tested these yet in the cold, but we remember when we first tried on the ecwcs system before we tested it in the cold. (and the ecwcs works well in the cold) The fortress feels way better in temperature regulation thus far pre cold test vs the ecwcs pre cold test. I have every confidence Fortress will blow away ecwcs in the cold with less layers and more comfort. That’s why we bought the whole family not only one set each of these base pros, but 2 sets! Did I say they are comfortable oh my!

So far I love the vest and coat that I bought :).
